Why not? The humour is still funny today, people have just lost a sense of irony.

I disagree with this. Tropic Thunder if anything is more relevant today than in 2008. It shows actors for the drama queens they really are and the absurd lengths they will go to just to win a statue. The most offensive comments in Tropic Thunder were made by the films most self centred and tone deaf character and his black face hilariously highlighted hollywoods lack of diversity before it became a big talking point. The film was meant as a dig at hollywood, Release it in 2019 and it makes more money

 

If we are talking about big hit comedies that would never be reased today, id go for 'you dont mess with the zohan'.
