A "B" is a great CinemaScore for a horror film, meaning there doesnt seem to be a disconnect between critics and audiences when it comes to M3GAN so far. Very good news for its potential legs. If it opens close to 30M, a 100M DOM total is far from impossible.

Not seen any Puss in Boots talk. Just making sure we are reminded of the true blockbuster of the winter season

Puss talk is in the beginning of the thread. Hard to say anything new without an update on its number.

Today has been unusually slow. We should have gotten an update from Jatinder by now.

I can only speculate but since @charlie Jatinder has a real life as well, maybe hes just too busy today to check in?

I hate being the guy that cites a banned person on the forum but...

He may be banned, but nobody here is forbidden to cite him, since he does have access to the numbers. And 11,8M would be indeed a very good start for Megan, though i hope(d) for 12M+

A2 looks like 11.25

Why sad face (not you, someone reacted to your post)? That would be a good number for A2. Hopefully, it doesn't go down...

because the thurs-fri jump is quite muted especially compared with Avatar1

If it follows Avatar (2009):

Fri 11,25M

Sat 18M (+60,2%)

Sun 13,34M (-25,9%)

= 42,59M

If it behaves like Rogue One:

Fri 11,25M
Sat 17,67M (+57,1%)
Sun 11,87M (-32,8%)

= 40,79M

Me thinks it will be much closer to Avatar. The Sat jump is ofc essential.

It was expected to have a muted jump on Friday as many others said on this thread and the weekdays thread as well. It's the SAT jump we are all wondering how much is going to be and the Sunday drop as well.

That Avatar 1 Sun drop is just mindblowing. Average non kiddie pic dropped 40-47% that Sunday, meanwhile Avatar chilled casually with a 30% better hold in that single day.

A2 should see better Sat jump, prolly closer to 70% imo and a 35-40% ease off on Sunday. Thinking 42M would be appropriate for this weekend.

Wait, did the Whitney film decrease from Thursday ($444k) and fall below Babylon? Or did Deadline just forget it was out?

😳

Deadline was busy defending Babylon's floppage ("It's made more than Nightmare Alley!") and probably forgot about IWDWS.

Not bad for A Man Called Otto, maybe it can stick around long enough for word of mouth to boost its theatrical run.

Wasn’t the Avatar 4th weekend 50M?

Yes it was, but im just using the same percentage drops. Avatar (2009) had a 13,2M Friday, while we have the 11,25M Friday number for Avatar 2.
