They are probably including weekday numbers? I'm not really sure because when I used them before for other movies, they were actually late with the reporting of numbers.

The Numbers midweek OS updates are often too low or too high. Not sure what the reason is. Last week, they were $10 million too high on the OS number (around $732 million vs $722 million BOM) before the weekend. So when the weekend numbers came in, their OS number barely increased.

That seems about right, though it's likely losing a lot of screens for the Flash/Elemental combo next weekend. $1.35 billion WW could be down to the wire and all up to Japan now.

Weak Yen in Japan and China having like absolutely no connection with Mario makes this make sense. Those two were both $120M+ grossers for Frozen 2. South Korea also grossed $90M for Frozen 2, so it seems just East Asia "held back" Mario from full potential, but pretty much everywhere else it was going nuts. I keep editing but Russia was a thing for Frozen 2 also.

As for Ilumination/Nintendo/Universal’s Super Mario, it overtook the total lifetime of Star Wars: The Force Awakens in Japan and is performing above Frozen 2 at the same point there. In France, it’s now the No. 1 animated movie ever. The overseas cume is $744.7M (after a $5.8M weekend in 81 markets) with $1.315B global.

I remember thinking this with Incredibles 2 and Frozen. The OS power of the Frozens was really incredible.

I wonder what the reason is for the discrepancy with TheNumbers. Ot seems to be Universal numbers in general as Fast X is updated as well at 664m
