The survivors enter a scary throne room in an underground lava place. They're inside of Bowser's Castle!

 

Bowser: If you're looking for Peach, sorry, but she's in another castle. Literally. Like, I don't know where she is. And I want to know! Peaches, Peaches, Peaches Peaches Peaches—ahem. You're still intruding. Soooooooo... Why don't I make you do a rigorous competition for my amusement! It's time to play:

 

WHO CAN BE THE MOST "FIRE"

 

Bowser: I want to see which of you can be the most "fire." That is, who's the "coolest of them all!"

 

The survivors exchange glances.

 

Confessional - Ethan Hunt: Well, this'll be a challenge for me because, with F.L.U.D.D. attached to my back, I'm already the most water, not the most fire.

 

Bowser: All right, get into your little tribes and start getting a show going!

 

The Koopas huddle together.

Morieris: All right, so we're down one tribemate, but we can still rock this! So, any ideas?

The Dark Alfred: I mean, you're the tribe leader, so what's your idea?

Morieris: Hey, I'm trying to be inclusive here! You think I have to make all the decisions? 😤

Rorschach: How about the Natal Naatu?

DAJK: You mean... The one from RRR?

Rorschach: No, the one from Looney Tunes. 🙄

Goldenhour36: I like the way you think, Rory. Let's do it!

 

Confessional - DAJK: A Looney Tunes reference? In 2023?

 

The Goombas huddle together.

JJ-8: I know exactly what type of show to put on? How about an extreme sports show!

Jack Sparrow: YES! I brought a pair of roller blades!

JJ-8: AND I BROUGHT A SKATEBOARD!

Jack Sparrow: THAT'S ASTONISHING!

JJ-8: BEST FRIENDS FOREVER 😃

Jack Sparrow: YEAH!

They continue hyping each other up.

DetectiveAI: Talk about some loose cannons.

Wrath: The thing about loose cannons is that unlike the tighter ones, they'll be missing their shots.

DetectiveAI: Heh. Good point.

 

Ethan Hunt pulls Agafin aside.

Ethan Hunt: Hey, why the heck were you in that geezer's lab?

Agafin: Oh, um, I'm a science student.

Ethan Hunt: That doesn't answer my question.

Agafin: He, um, hired me to work some sort of water thing.

Ethan Hunt: Is this the water thing?!

F.L.U.D.D.: The correct terminology is Flash Liquidizer Ultra Dousing Device.

Agafin: Do you like it? I built it with love.

Ethan Hunt: No! How am I supposed to play Survivor with this?!

Agafin: 🥺😔 Oh. I see.

Agafin walks off.

Ethan Hunt: Hey, wait– ah, he's gone...

Confessional – Ethan Hunt: I know I'm a conniving backstabber, but... Dang, now I feel kinda bad. I hope there's a way to make it up to him.

 

The Pokeys huddle together.

Fancyarcher: Didn't I say you shouldn't have pissed off Bowser Jr.?!

Cap: How was I supposed to know Bowser's Castle was the very next location?!

Reddroast: We should challenge him to a rap battle.

Cap: 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Asyulus: How do you know he's into rap?

Reddroast: His stage name's Lil Bow Wow. The mixtape's on SoundCloud. Spits bars if you ask me.

elcabellero: Alex SciChannel? You're the only brand new player on the tribe. What do you think?

Alex SciChannel: Um, I think that's pretty good, yeah.

elcaballero: ...

 

Confessional - elcaballero: That's the same thing he said with the Hammer Bros. He doesn't seem eager to participate...

 

Bowser: All right. Who's up first?

DAJK: Us with the Naatu Naatu?

The Koopa Squad does the Naatu Naatu. Wrath huffs a cigarette in quiet distress.

 

Confessional - Wrath: It's all fun and games until someone does the Naatu Naatu.

 

Reddroast: Looks a little too fire if you ask me. Might be unbeatable...

Fancyarcher: Might I suggest a solution?

Cap: WHAT?! A LITERAL BOMB?!

Fancyarcher: A Bob-omb, technically speaking. I earned it by having the highest prediction score on Shazam: Fury of the Gods. This item allows me to pick a range of 5%, and everyone who scored within that range gets a decrease of -5% on their average score. This time, I chose the 65-70% range. Here goes nothing!

 

Fancyarcher throws the Bob-omb. It explodes.

 

The Dark Alfred: Ouch, dude!

elcaballero: Yes, looks like their stoner guy got caught in the blast.

Fancyarcher: Oh no... As did Asyulus!

Asyulus: No worries. I have applied bandages. 🤕

 

SLAM!: Looks like the scores of The Dark Alfred and Asyulus will drop by -5%. Bob-ombs are now available in Wario's Warehouse for six coins.

 

 

Jack Sparrow: All right! Time for some extreme sports! EXTREME!

JJ-8 roller blades. Jack Sparrow skateboards. Wrath rides on a Razer Scooter. DetectiveAI jumps on a pogo stick. Agafin does Sport Stacking.

JJ-8: Hey Bigby, where's Ethan?

DetectiveAI: I dunno, he disappeared.

Wrath: Hey, is that him?

 

Ethan Hunt uses F.L.U.D.D. as a water jetpack (one of those 'flyboards') as he flies over the lava. Agafin sees this and smiles.

 

Cap: That was pretty good, so we'll really have to bring it! Bring out Lil Bow Wow!

Bowser Jr. jumps in.

Bowser Jr.: I'm Lil Bow Wow! (spits bars)

(The force of the bar-spitting knocks an already-injured Asyulus back a few feet.)

Asyulus: I'm still okay! 🤕🤕

elcaballero: Uh, Alex SciChannel?

Alex SciChannel: Nope. Looks dangerous.

elcaballero: Dude! Really?!

Cap: All right, here I go! 🎵You ride a clown car, but I eat all the caviar! 🎵 Boom, roasted.

Bowser Jr.: That's dumb! Caviar's for Big Bow Wow, not Lil Bow Wow!

elcaballero: All right you listen to this: <raps something to the effect of Bowser Jr.'s bandana being poorly designed.>

Bowser Jr.: 🥺 Dad!

Bowser: All right, now I'm angry!

Bowser breathes fire on Fancyarcher, who jumps around in agony.

Reddroast: Yeesh, I better do something...

This does not affect who goes to tribal—what I mean is, the same three tribes are still playing together, getting average scores together, and potentially going to tribal together. But there's still a story element and a risk/reward element to this decision.

DRY BONE DILEMMA

 

Your character helps Toad clear the Dry Bones out of the front lawn. In other words, you'll play a normal round of Survivor: Mushroom Kingdom...

 

WIGGLER WALLOP

 

Your character helps Toadette wake her Wiggler up... At the risk of making it angry! If you play this game, the amount of coins you earn is x2 what you normally earn. But if you pick this competition and you get last place, you'll instead lose half of all your coins. Also, the last place finisher here will be rendered "afraid of wiggler" for the rest of the season, which could have unforeseen consequences... High risk, high reward!

 

Also, each competition comes with its own unlockable kart. If you pick one competition, you have access to that competition's kart, but not the other competition's kart. Choose wisely, because which kart you have access to could have an effect on the game later on!

 

You will me which competition you're playing for whenever you turn in the next weekend challenge predictions. If you do not choose a competition, your character will automatically play Dry Bone Dilemma. Let me know if you have any questions, and good luck!

Reddroast throws a coconut at it, causing its bones to collapse. But the bones build back up instead!
