Transformers 3 has better cgi then many films made 10 years after it

 

That film is a mess but cgi in that film holds up really well.

Important to recognize that 200M in today’s money is a measly 150M. There is still the important issue of overworked VFX workers and directors who don’t know how these things work, but comparing budget to budget isn’t an exact science.

I don't think it looks THAT bad. Law of diminishing returns is in effect though.

Weekend drops should come in a bit lower than the Fri/Fri numbers, as more schools are out and we get a flatter weekend curve (smaller Sat jump, better Sun hold)

 

Interestingly, doesn't look like Transformers really took a bite out of much of anything? [except taking PLFs from ATSV] Feeds into my theory that it brought out a casual audience that just wasn't watching (or already had) much of what came out previously

Just checked Fast X's boxoffice on BOM. Holy cow OS really saved that one's face! But 700M is dead no?

 

TLM and ATSV are going to be dom skewing or does ATSV has a shot at 50/50? No idea how it's doing OS compared to dom. Wonder if it could close to 800M for real doubling of ITSV's gross. Since 400M+ is locked dom.
