You show characters that are hidden in darkness? What kind of comparison is that? Show them in full light. And seriously apes are a hell of a lot easier to do than a big purple humanoid lol.

$

Lets face it the CGI isnt perfect and in no way will it compare with the Apes which used a better CGI company and gave us probably the most realistic mo cap ever. But who the fuck cares? He still looks alright

It also doesnt help that just this year a movie came out where the CGI looked like this:

hero_war-for-the-planet-of-the-apes-1_CF

They are much easier to do because they are less human they avoid the uncanny valley effect.

Thanos looking goofy isn't a really a problem. Bane is still one of the best SHM movie villains because of his inherent goofiness.

I think legs will be weak.

The funny Marvel movies always have the best legs.

Hopefully IW will get Winter Soldier legs which wasn't a laugh fest.

I find it funny how cautious they’ve been not to have final battles in public places anymore.

BVS took the baddie to an abandoned area, JL Chernobyl, Civil War an airport, now Infinity War in a big field.

:hahaha:

Man of Steel and Avengers are to blame for the destruction porn backlash.

I am not sure that will be the final battle, could be but not all characters were there (Thor, Spider-Man, Guardians...) . So far we've seen 2 battles in the trailer, one in New York and the other in the Wakanda field...maybe there is a third one?? or maybe heroes will fight in different places??

I'll come back in 2 hours days when you all will have calmed down

This is the first time I've hung out in a Marvel thread for years. I had no idea they were as chaotic as DCU ones.

Some CGI looked a bit unpolished BUT I thought Thanos looked superb which is the main thing that had to be nailed.

Overall the trailer for me was good not great (I thought Ultron's and Civil War's 1st trailers were better) but nothing that was shown got me worried.

That's pretty much how I felt about it all.

Still got me extremely pumped by the end though as the logo appeared while their theme-song soared high. It just felt good!

Also while I never did think he looked very good in any of the past movies I thought Thanos in here looked great but I guess that's subjective.

As an aside I'm still laughing my ass off at the overly sensitive fans who can't handle an ounce of criticism over here but are only too eager to pound other franchises. What goes around...

HOW GOOD it feels to FINALLY have a good villain : Thanos looks powerful, evil and doesn't want to restrain himself, he's so powerful that he's completely self-confident.

Other comic book movies could feel so lame after this, I'm so pumped up about this guys!!!!!!:wub:

My first thoughts were that Thanos looked silly and overall the trailer was underwhelming.

I’m still thinking this’ll be over $200M/$400M/$1.2B+ but it needs more of a hook. Sure Guardians and darker tone are hella appealing but it needs more of an omph to draw in the non caught up GA. Still thinking this is a very very small chance this does $1B (which is a lock) but does like $380M-$390M.

I like his line delivery. His "it does put a smile on my face"  reminded me instantly of Top Dollar from The Crow lol.

Considering realistic hair is probably the hardest thing for CGI artists to do, no.
