I think Migration 100m is still on table. That A cinemascore is justified. My theater love the movie. As for Aquaman, since people are still believe that people like the movie more than WOM meters suggest, I would have to see how the jump of CD and Boxing Day to conclude that.

I mentioned this in the tracking thread a few days ago regarding legs, but it's also worth keeping in mind that between December 25 and February, the only new movie guaranteed to make over $25M is Mean Girls, and the only movies that even have a shot at that number are Night Swim, The Beekeeper, and maybe the Soul release (talk about a wildcard). So a lot of movies in theaters right now are probably still going to be in theaters for the next six weeks, which will really help them out.

Seeing Saltburn blow up on streaming this weekend makes me wonder if Amazon could have expanded it more successfully... would it have gained good momentum if they waited until December to expand? Or are movies like that just theatrical advertisements for larger streaming splashes?

Pretty solid numbers for everything otherwise. Maybe I'll take an edible and see Aquaman 2 in IMAX, just to celebrate the resurrection of cinema (and the birth of Christ too, I suppose).

At this point, pretty much.

 

They also likely timed the streaming release to now knowing it would be gone from pretty much everywhere due to all the new movies.

NO way -7% on Christmas Eve. I guess GKIDS just want to score good headline to retain their screen and showtimes during holiday season. But both Japanese titles do not better Sat bump. Godzilla-1 sunday estimate was very realistic.
