CaptainJackSparrow Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 (edited) New Jurassic World in the Works I love all 6 movies, but I was hoping the series would take a long break so that it wouldn't drag on like the F&F movies. Still, I'm hyped! Edited June 27 by CaptainJackSparrow 1 Quote
Brainbug the Dinosaur Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 Ehhhhhhhhhhhhh I wanted the franchise to stay dormant for a few more years. Dominion had a very mediocre reception and i dont think a new movie could gross a billion again unless it truly has amazing WOM. Still, a new movie means more dinosaurs so ill have to start saving money as soon as possible for my viewings. Quote
John Marston Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 It has to be a reboot. Dominion left the series no where to go cant believe that movie was about locusts and a lady giving birth to herself. Seriously wtf Quote
filmlover Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 I mean, it has to be better than the previous two, right? According to Hollywood Reporter they are apparently far enough long that they might be aiming for a release in 2025 (perhaps not a surprise considering how light Universal's upcoming pipeline is - the only movies they have on the calendar for next year so far are the live-action How to Train Your Dragon remake, sequels to M3GAN and The Black Phone, and Wicked Part 2). Good luck to them trying to rush it and delivering a non-divisive product, I guess. Quote
MovieMan89 Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 Eww. Wait until the start of next decade and soft reboot again (hopefully this time much better than the Worlds). Quote
Hatebox Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 The quest to make the first good Jurassic Park sequel continues 1 Quote
KP1025 Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 Would love to see future Jurassic movies lean into horror more like the novels. The films have been increasingly lacking in true suspense since the first Jurassic Park. Quote
WittyUsername Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 What is there left to do with this franchise? Are they going to do the human/dinosaur hybrid thing? Quote

Seriously wtf You just prompted me to watch Dominion (rewatched Fallen Kingdom on the plane recently so why not?) Quote
excel1 Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 A prequel set during the construction of Jurassic Park or Jurassic World would be badass AF. Imagine following a team of hunters tasked with capturing the loose Dinos all over the island? Quote
Arlborn Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 More dinos? OK then, why not? Could be fun, just please don't take the Dominion route. Quote

excel1 Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 Josh Hartnett would be perfect for the lead 1 Quote
NoobSaibot Posted January 25, 2024 Posted January 25, 2024 The Jurassic Park franchise is such an enormous cash cow for Universal that this doesn't surprise me. There was going to be another film, sooner or later. Quote
