370m without China (it's also losing Russia). I have no idea how it would do in China if it does release, but most countries should increase with moviegoing being in a better place than 2021.

Deadline: DOM presales and tracking indicate an opening for Venom 3 that’s just under that of 2022’s Black Adam ($67M) at $65M. Overseas is looking at $85M — possibly higher — for an all-in global weekend of $150M.

Comparing with 2019 is bit risky for sure. What did deadline say for Joker couple of weeks ago?

I think they are overestimating. I am thinking 175m max minus china. Venom 2 did ~260m minus Russia. Even 2/3rd last movie is a stretch unless Latin American markets over perform.

China I heard from local folks expecting 80m ish for the movie. That would be great considering very few movies have grossed that number in Post COVID era.

Was it a holiday in China @Gavin Feng. Its a strong number considering presales. If it can sustain even for OW, it should hit the 80m target.

National Day is the last official holiday of every year so no holiday in the rest of 2024.

Deadline keeps updating the WW OW estimate:

Venom: The Last Dance’ Bonds With $27.3M In First Two Days Overseas; Now Eyeing $180M Global Bow.  That would be 5% above the worldwide debut of Let There Be Carnage, on a like-for-like basis at today’s rates.

Part of what we’re seeing here is a better-than-expected start in China ($14.7M through Thursday), while some South East Asia markets saw launches that were higher than Let There Be Carnage. That includes results in Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. In Europe, Germany’s opening day of $800K was bigger than Carnage by 43%, and Belgium’s $168K is the top start in the franchise.
