The King of Kings follows Charles Dickens and youngest son Walter as they bond over the famed author’s short story “The Life of Our Lord,” which was a holiday tradition in the Dickens household, though it was never published until 1934, decades after the author’s death. Through animation, the pair and their cat Willa become immersed in the story of Jesus, involving notable friends and foes.

who is mofac animation?

All I know is that it's a South Korean company. This is what I found on Youtube.

First Gomez Addams, now Jesus Christ, I respect animation, you know this, but when will Oscar play the people he's meant to in live action and not animation.

Makes sense. Blue Harbor is a "we'll do P&A but you have to pay for everything up front" company while Angel is both a more normal releasing company and lets both sides defray P&A costs via the crowdfunded P&A approach which eliminates the extreme downside risk.

Assuming Angel still owns the rights to David (which seems to be the case given the lack of followup information), it also gives some inherent synergy by building a stronger kids audience prior to the big tentpole's Thanksgiving 2025 release.
