The more I see the trailer for The Watchers the more I get The Village "the twist/reveal is going to be something really stupid" vibes

The Village twist was clever. People threw a fit just coz they could.

You’re right, I was exaggerating a little. Forgot that Abigail was received fairly well.

You were maybe getting mixed up between quality and success.

The First Omen, Immaculate, Late Night With The Devil are great IMO.

The lack of respect for Abigail and other horror entries this year tears me apart. I thought Abigail in particular was clever and funny as hell.

Guess the difference would be P2 had a 40M budget. IF has a 110M budget.

I still think 30M OW DOM is impressive.

I think budget issues is currently a big problem for almost all releases

Abigail was just awful. I actually suffered less during Tarot and Strangers. I'll give you First Omen.

While on the subject of Ryan Reynolds' forgettable filmography, I don't think I've seen a worse trailer than the one for Blake Lively's new movie. My jaw dropped. Just when you think the trailer can't sink any lower, you hear Taylor Swift's grating voice as one of her awful songs starts playing. Will be a good mock-watch.

Nobody around me ever said they were looking forward to IF.  There were some "thats cute" kind of comments.  But nobody clamoring to see it.  Marketing didn't really seem to lockin a wider audience.

We need more movies doing 100M+. Bob Marley flopped to get to the mark. Lets hope IF survives Garfield's arrival and has some good legs.
