Also as some have mentioned there's a big "Heatwave" going on in the Midwest and Eastcoast.   Could have been a factor though sitting in an AC in the Theater to cool off would be an option.

Leaning towards 650-750 million domestic run for Inside Out 2.

I will say I don't think people realize just how high this movies post OW is so far, as a comparison here are some other comps post OW total through Day 11:

 

NWH: 235M

IO2: 215.52M

BP1: 209.71M

Barb: 204.4M

TGM: 181.36M

I2: 177.52M

A2: 159.19M

A1: 155.1M

 

Still think 700m will be contingent on strong holds in the coming 2 weeks, current range is looking closer to 650-680m but hopefully will start seeing more overperformances in the coming days

I do enjoy the surprise we get now every summer with what grosses $600M+ DOM. I'm sure something will next summer even though I'm not sure what can.

No because only box office nerds collectively consider TLK 2019 to be an animated film

Beating F2 is all you need to officially take the WW crown since TLK officially isn’t on the animation records category

Yeah TLK19 isn't an animated movie. Sure it's all done on a computer but it's intended to be photo realistic. If human characters were in the original Lion King story, they would have been played by real people in the live action.

 

Frozen II to me is the biggest animated film of all time.

What's interesting is that Inside Out 2 2nd Monday was ahead of Top Gun: Maverick, which has $12.4 million on 2nd Monday.

So if Inside Out 2 finishes around $410-415 million at the end of the 2nd week, the 3rd weekend should go 65-75 million, which would give IO2 $475-485 million.
