SPECTRE | 11/6/15 | Final Trailer on Page 126! | Twitter reactions coming in, STID 2.0?

It's at 84% on RT. Impressive.

And the critics consensus says: Spectre nudges Daniel Craig's rebooted Bond closer to the glorious, action-driven spectacle of earlier entries, although it's admittedly reliant on established 007 formula.

That RT avg is going down.  It has a 7 avg,  half it's graded reviews are 3/5 and less and they're mostly from a more Bond lenient UK press.

Misogyny - dislike of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against women.

Skyfall fits it perfectly. The entire movie is contemptuous and devaluing of women ending with two dead through the incompetence of Bond which is never pointed out or treated as incompetence and the other being deemed too incompetent for field work even though she did her job because she's not supposedly emotionally cut out for it like Bond.  The all is well now ending is risible.

I like how you conveniently left "hatred of women" out of the definition, since that would make your argument even more nonsensical.

In Severine's death, JB tries to delay the outcome by purposely shooting away from the glass (since he's not able to shoot in the glass, even if he did, Silva would probably kill her in the subsequent seconds). Bond didn't expect Silva to kill her right away after the failed attempt since, like Bond said, Silva was a diva and would probably do lots of speeches and play around before killing Severine, what could give enough time for MI6 forces to arrive and rescue Severine. He acted accordingly to a spy who has killed and has seen many people being killed, he didn't show any emotions because that's what an experienced spy would do in a movie where he barely knew the person. It's only logical that JB has certain apathy for people that he just met. There's not contempt here.

I won't even argue with you about M dying being a symptom of a misogynist movie, because that's beyond absurd.

If not being apt or competent to be a spy (which supposedly leads to two deaths) is "contemptuous and devaluing of women", then give me a fucking break. Skyfall is part of ongoing series, of course such things wouldn't be addressed (him not being apt to be a spy anymore).

But yeah lets praise the people responsible

Yes, let's.

Movies will be dead the day they have to fit into some people's twisted narratives.

Almost every review points out Belluci is 51 as if she's some kind of freak show and then point how she's "older" than Bond (by a whole 4 years) even though she looks younger and infinitely better.  Meanwhile not a peep about how Craig is 17 years older than Lea.  And guess which one has 10 minutes of screen time and which one is the main Bond women.

and how's that the movie's fault exactly? Edited by Goffe

So...uh...no one has asked "the question" yet?

Is this guy Blofeld, or not?  I'll still see the film...I just want to know.  Did they keep that after everything leaked?

Yes, but the way he is revealed as Blofeld in the finished film is very different from the leaked draft.

man, you're living the dream...

Let us know when the movie is commercially released for us plebs

Thanks man, and there isn't anything special about me. No huge connections, or ins. Just moved up 60 miles with a passion and a couple friends who shared similar dreams. Wrote the script, raised the money, directing myself. All you gotta do is do it! I'm hoping I low key inspire lots of people I know to just go out and do it themselves.

Best chase scenario it ends up on Netflix at some point. Im just hoping to get into some festivals, get released on iTunes. Just practicing building a feature resume so hopefully when I'm 25/26 I can already have 3 or so low budget features under my belt so I can pitch and sell my self on getting a nice 500,000 budget or something. There is a limitless paths to take but the one constant in Hollywood is good work is good work. Im young so I have to take advantage of my head start.

I'm just about to start a Bond Marathon for SPECTRE.  I've included NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN in the past three marathons in '06, '08, and '12, but not CASINO ROYALE '67, mainly because I don't own it yet.  Also, since it's effectively a Spymania spoof and significantly goofier than even the crazier Moore efforts, it would stick out like a sore thumb.  Maybe next time.

This is how things panned out for me in 2012, culminating in a 12:07 IMAX viewing of SKYFALL.

1. ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE
2. FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE
3. CASINO ROYALE
4. FOR YOUR EYES ONLY
5. THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS
6. GOLDFINGER
7. SKYFALL
8. GOLDENEYE
9. THE SPY WHO LOVED ME
10. DR. NO
11. LICENCE TO KILL
12. OCTOPUSSY
13. LIVE AND LET DIE
14. DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER
15. QUANTUM OF SOLACE
16. A VIEW TO A KILL
17. MOONRAKER
18. YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE
19 THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH
20. TOMORROW NEVER DIES
21. THUNDERBALL
22. THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN
23. NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN
24. DIE ANOTHER DAY
