ZeeSoh Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 Absolutely No Spoilers, no matter how vague even under spoiler tags. This applies to all movies currently in theatres and streaming shows that are releasing/recently released. No Fanboy Wars. Comparisons are OK but do not troll. Mojoguy Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 The DC movie sequel curse continues. We went from possible billion grosser to less than $300M WW?

LonePirate Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 Were there no test screenings with focus groups for this movie? I simply can't believe they didn't know the film was awful prior to the disastrous screening in Venice.

Grebacio Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 Well at the very least no one will ask to include Phoenix Joker on Reeves nor Gunn universem 2
AMC Theaters Enjoyer Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 I generally don’t put a lot into RT audience scores, but good lord. I definitely don’t think 50M is happening this weekend. 45M is probably out of the picture too. 2
ListenHunnyUrOver Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 The fan reactions painting this as a horrid movie in every way are baffling to me. Honestly this is just proof that the general audience just only wants CBMs to be there for fan service and escapism anymore. Don’t even try to do something outside the box. 8 1

Yeah, I expected disaster but I liked it. Not perfect but solid and interesting. Better than any Marvel movie I've seen in years (I use the word movie loosely and generously). 1 1 2 3

I don't think you can say this when the RT score is in the 30s. It's not just audiences rejecting it, it's critics too. That's not even in like divisive or negative leaning on divisive range. 5

Your choice. 6

I just don’t see how a movie with great acting, cinematography, some clever ideas and well executed musical numbers can be getting panned to this degree. Critics are supposed to give artists a bit of room if they try something new writhing a stale genre I thought. No goodwill is being afforded to this movie. 1
ListenHunnyUrOver Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 Welp. I just hope this doesn’t impact Gaga’s acting career too much. Joaquin might take the biggest hit due to his unprofessional behavior earlier this year.
Yollten Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 Looking at the popcorn metre, this has to be a chance of hitting an F CinemaScore yeah?
