Disney delayed most of its upcoming slate except for this, seems like it will open in theaters next month

I feel like they might have said more about a date or perhaps mentioned not knowing the date for that movie, but they edited it out of the discussion at the end.

No delay for New Mutants? If they delayed Mulan, they should have delayed this one. Odd.

Maybe they're willing for this to be the sacrificial lamb?

By the way, opening scene of the movie was pretty damn cool.

The opening of the panel was cute, but, truthfully this is getting insufferable, especially since the Mulan delay pretty much means this will be delayed too.

Yeah, but we'll still see New Mutants before we finally get to see Avatar 2, so there's that.

Lol, those offscreen screams at in that trailer/clip was Tom Cruise Mummy-level bad. The VFX in this movie also just looks ugly. I could not tell wtf was happening in the last 15 seconds of that trailer.

At least Avatar's delays make sense since it's Cameron.

Posted (edited)

might want to update the thread title to the new official date announced in the SDCC panel:

August 28, 2020 (Fingers crossed)

edit: and you better change it fast before Disney changes it again for you

or alternatively, the fact that it didn't get a new date could increase the chances of Disney+

Disney didn't delay the 20th Century Fox movies. Which likely means they are finalizing the terms for Disney+ with HBO and other stakeholders as they don't have full control over those movies principals.

I feel like Disney is trolling us at this point. No, but really, I do think in the end this ends up on Disney+ and most likely sooner than later.

Disney does not really care much about this film. It's a low budget film they will not spend a dime more on then they have to.if did not have the X men connection it would have been dumped a long time ago.
