It doesn't interest me a whole bunch, but it did remind me of what Fantastic Four 2015 could have been.

Now I'm sad :(

TBF Fant4stic tone was a really weird fit for well, the Fantastic Four. I understand that they wanted to differentiate it from the previous iteration but eh, not a good choice. They should have just made Reed/Sue older with kids instead of going younger and have pushed The Incredibles aspect of the franchise even more.

OTOH this tone is pretty much perfect for The New Mutants. It's a franchise that just lends itself naturally to YA/horror tropes. Btw @Arlborn the Fault in Our Stars/(500 Days) of Summer writers worked on this, so I think we'll get interesting relationship dynamics and coming of age arcs in addition to the scares (after all, the Fox CEO did mention The Breakfast Club as one of the influences). ^_^

Yeah, I certainly hope so! I've never fully watched The Fault in our Stars cause that's just too depressive for me but I really enjoy watching 500 Days of Summer.

Fox really show us what SH films can go beyond that marvel vs DC debate

gambit- Crime/Heist in CBM...

According to:

Quote

Omega Underground reports that Gambit will indeed be a crime/heist film, no surprise given the protagonist’s long history as a thief. While the report should be taken as just a rumor for now, it’s worth keeping in mind Omega Underground’s track record. He not only reported on Gambit‘s working title (CHESS), but usually has good information when it comes to superhero production news.

It’s also not a surprise to learn that the heist genre will be the focus of Gambit. Marvel Studios has had great success mixing superhero films with other distinct genres, and Fox is clearly attempting the same.
