Too bad with all the money they spent on this they did not bother to  spend enough to get a good     screenplay.

Saw this on Thanksgiving and found it to be the ultimate example of a project clearly conceived as seasonal background noise: jokes that land with a thud, forced attempts at sentimentality, some stunningly terrible CGI (and this cost $250M?), and an underused supporting cast (what a criminal waste of J.K. Simmons). It often comes across as a Christmas movie from the aughts made in the streaming era.

 

Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans do absolutely nothing to stretch their talents while collecting ridiculous paychecks.
