I've always hated the "rebellious kid of the previous main character" spin-off idea and the whole steampunk aspect of this show isn't appealing to me. Maybe it's because it seems to be lacking the scale of the original. I'm a sucker for a hero's grand quest, with extremely high stakes on the line and this doesn't appear to have it.
