Somehow, Corpse mentioned ¥250M (~$2.2M), lower than my estimate of ¥340M (~$3M), although, leg can improve because it's not a 45-days exclusive here. Although, OD was reported ¥127M, which is 1.5x better Shang Chi. But, Sumikko Gurashi's previous work exploded after OD WOM. (Same thing, happening with this year work too, So, Eternals may (might) not win the weekend) but it's still a big win for Disney (breaking ¥1B /$8.8M after two years)

 

Notable thing is that NTTD whose opening was lower than GvK has leg well (¥2.29B vs ¥1.88B)

 

Although, Jolie being part of the film has not affected, and ratings rising. I just hope WOM go well. But, being second behind Sumikko Gurashi is slightly worrying. (I haven't checked but I think Eternals might narrow gap in afternoon &leads ahead with evening/nights shows)

If the audiences of this movie here are mostly >18 y.o, then Sat afternoon and evening maybe significantly busier than Fri.

Assume that Sat will finish +50% Fri

Fri usual location 58k9 => Sat usual location 88k4, Sun will drop around 10% (?): 79k5

Sat and Sun usual location = 75% total => total = 223k8

Total admits Fri + Sat + Sun = 308k, ATP = 1500 => total gross: 461.7M yen = $4.085M (+50% Shangchi)

The thing here is that I used the ATP of Friday, it is 1509 yen, (higher than normal?) 

Yesterday it was reported 127M yen, and with an estimate 84k total admits, so I got that ATP.   

Don't know if ATP for Sat and Sun is also the same or not.

This feels like another Demon Slayer situation to me. In that I had no idea it existed until I popped in to this thread and saw it was about to decimate everything in its path. Then I watched the Demon Slayer show and started to get it. Don't quite get why the movie had THAT much gas in the tank though
