think we get it, we really don't need a live update feed over people on twitter getting mad, it ain't that interesting

Yeah I'm more interested in seeing if this penetrates into further Japanese media like talkshows/news reports since I hear they often discuss twitter trends over there. That would cause the protest to spread to the general population and could make Barbie DOA.

Let it be, give some love to a far better movie called Elemental.

映画バービー、原爆関連ツイートに「ハート絵文字」 「心底腹立つ」と日本人憤りも対応せず

It's getting more coverage on Online Community than on News but since the influence is strong, so will be covered up in News soon -

Warner Bros's Press Release (Barbie)

F2-Wtcjdb-YAEu2-IA.jpg

Spoiler

About SNS posting of the movie "Barbie"

Currently, I recommend watching both the movie "Barbie" (Distributor: Warner Bros.) and the movie "OPPENHEIMER" (Distributor: Universal Pictures), both released in the United States on July 21. There is an overseas fan movement (#Barbenheimer), but this movement and activity is not official.

On the other hand, we consider it extremely regrettable that the official account of the American headquarters for the movie "Barbie" reacted to the social media postings of fans caused by this movement, and we take this situation very seriously, we are asking the US headquarters to take appropriate action.

We apologize to those who were offended by this series of inconsiderate reactions.
