Which could potentially be a $8m friday-sunday opening? I think Toho wouldove that and would probably announce a sequel Immediately. The Evangelion connection is probably gonna help too.

Well, keep in mind that opening weekends in Japan go into the record books based on their two-day total. Saturday and Sunday.

 

I think that ¥1 billion over a three day span might be possible, though.

This is a bit different from Friday. It looks like One Piece Film Gold has lost a few seats, and Shin Godzilla has expanded to some theaters outside of the sample, going by the % of market number.
