7 made $95m, 8 made $66m.  Will 9 drop? It will have a $10-14m OW but they can co exist as demos are mostly different

here is F1 against Conan , Spidey and an adult drama making $13m on the weekend.  not affected much

Only impact is SW9 will take big screens/imax etc. So there will be a small impact. But markets do expand when multiple movies open. SW9 wil lopen way bigger Spidey or other movies above. Plus F1 was a mega phenomenon. Not sure F2 is comparable though its also a blockbuster and more.

It needs to hold -10% next week or -15%(SW9 hit) followed by a flat week(bounce back post SW9 OW) to have any shot at $180m

Fantastic beast stayed on top for 3 weeks and dropped only less than 20% in each weeks but took a big hit from Rogue one with 45% drop.

 

this may happen to F2 as well......I hope you can take it.
