Sadly not surprised, too often IMHO. BOM doesn't even include foreign movies, if they didn't get an US release too.

And DL is IMHO not the best in checking details. Sometimes they seem so eager to be the ~ first to release something, they make rather strange mistakes.

Time-travel samurai film 'Nobunaga Concert' wins the weekend with a $5.2 million bow.

#1   $5.2 million (￥616 million) opening of Nobunaga Concert, a time-travel, samurai drama.

Following the local hit formula of manga-to-TV-drama-to-the-big-screen, Nobunaga Concert is the story of a high-school boy (Shun Oguri) who goes back in time....

#2 Star Wars brought in another $3.2 million (￥387 million) on Saturday and Sunday to bring its local cumulative total to more than $81.4 million (￥9.6 billion) from 6.2 million tickets sold.

#3 Local masked hero kids film Shuriken Sentai Ninninger vs. ToQger the Movie: Ninja in Wonderland opened in third.

#4 Yo-Kai Watch the Movie: The Great King Enma and the Five Tales, Meow!, the anime and merchandising franchise hit... brought in $43.4 million (￥5.13 billion) so far in its home market. 

Paddington ... $2.7 million (￥325 million) since its long delayed release in Japan on Jan. 14.

Seasons (Les Saisons)... fell one spot to sixth and has now taken a solid $2.2 million (￥257 million)

The Walk,...., opening 8th spot with $603,000.

Japan Box Office: 2015 Revenue Up 5.2 Percent to $1.84 Billion

'Jurassic World' and 'Big Hero 6' were the top earners for Hollywood, which grew its overall share to 46.6 percent

The Japanese box office was up 5.2 percent, to $1.84 billion (￥217.11 billion) in 2015, while the growth in local currency terms was 4.9 percent. Hollywood’s share grew to 44.6 percent from 42 percent in 2014, according to figures released Tuesday by the Motion Pictures Producers Association of Japan (MPPAJ).

Both admissions, up 3.4 percent to 166.7 million, and average ticket prices, up by 1.4 percent to $11 (￥1,303) due to the rising number of 3D, IMAX and high-end screens, showed growth.

However, no film, Japanese or Hollywood, breached the ￥10 billion ($85 million) mark that was the traditional definition of a blockbuster in the domestic market. Star Wars: The Force Awakens is currently on course to hit that mark for this year.....
