06 (05) ¥x64,000,000 ($595,000), -47%, ¥2,605,000,000 ($24.2 million), Godzilla: King of the Monsters (Toho) WK5

$1.8 away from $26. Not a lock thanks to this drop but still likely.

Still possible ...

8:30 PM Tokyo standard time ...

Aladdin :- 173,276

Far From Home :- 146,842

Looking at these numbers, I don't think Aladdin's drop will be as steep as Corpse projected. More like 15-17% instead of 25%, so easily over ¥800m. FFH will probably be closer to his forecast. Could be higher too depending on Sunday.

Why would that matter when it's not even the same studio?   It wasn't dropped when X-Men opened (heh)

I don't know, but when AEG opened, CM also was finished the same day.

Is there a chance that EG will be "re-released" in Japan in the future?

There is, but I doubt Disney will do it.

FFH is at 146,211

keep in mind that late showings seem to perform worse as the weekends go by, so I expect the drop from last week to increase.

Worst case scenario I don't see I dropping over 15%

already increased to 9.7% from 9.2% with the latest update.

With Japan overperform for Aladdin, i doubt Spiderman FFH can beat Aladdin's total in south korea too....although will have much bigger opening.
