I'm guessing around a similar drop too with Toy Story 4 losing about 30% of its seats this weekend (including the biggest screens at every theater).

Aladdin is the first ￥10 billion level film in the era of 令和. 

 

2nd fastest-to-10B in Disney history, only behind Frozen & Alice(37 days). It took BATB 42 days to achieve that.

So sad, especially because it was has one of the better reputations among animation studios (it’s staff are on salary rather than contractors), hope the families and survivors get a huge amount of support. RIP to those that passed.

TS4 first Friday: 146,259

WWY is 43% over TS4 for the full day

 

I'm scared for TS4 though. It dropped more than 50% on Friday at the usual locations, thanks to WWY. I hope it won't drop more than 40% for the 2-day weekend.

Yep I love that crazy OD by WWY, but I really want TS4 to do great.

WwY Sat should be above TS4 Opening Sat but not that much based on presales, followed by a lower Sun because of no holiday. I would guess ¥1.3-1.4b weekend and ¥1.7-1.85b three day debut. For TS4 ¥800m second weekend seems safe.
