Just a joke :P

A month ago Geo1500 was totally sure, despite all reasonings and evidence, that Aladdin would have come quite close to Frozen in Japan (like around 200M, and certainly way above 150). Given that now you need reasonings and evidence to understand that Aladdin is finishing between 110 and 120M, he may still be convinced about his projection.

Yep it's doing superb on it's first monday, might top TLK tomorrow. 

Hoping it get's $150m, the week after obon will be key.

Are 100M totally discarded for TLK in Japan, or not quite yet?

 

I want those 4x100M Disney 2019 in Japan (Aladdin, TS4, TLK and F2)... and the cherry on the top would be TROS (but this i'm 99.99% self-convinced it's not gonna happen). 

 

I know TROS will be considered a 2020 movie for reasons I would never understand, but for me, a movie released in 2019 will still be a 2019 movie.

It would be unprecedented legs for The Lion King. It looks to have middling reception from movie sites, too.

Not as good as Aladdin's reception but scores seem much better than TS4 for now. Also about the same as Weathering With You from what I can tell.

And the movie wasn't even bad, I liked it quite a bit. 

Liked it more than Aladdin (but this is up for debate 😛 ) and way better than TLK that I personaly didn't like at all.
