Mid-tier comic book flicks always open to similar numbers: GL, Watchmen, First Class, Thor, Cap, Hulk. The same people are watching them year after year.

I think we have to look at this on a case by case basis. That is, look at these movies as stand alone. Rock of Ages AND That's My Boy don't look like appealing movies period. They both just happen to be released at the same time. What do you consider a failure for Brave?

Well, for me, I've been revising it up. Under $70m would be disappointing now. I don't know why I should expect a lower OW just because everything else is doing badly, something has to drag bums in seats eventually.

Brave doesn't look all that special either. Doesn't look as bad as ROA and TMB but I wouldn't be surprised if it disappointed as well.
