Cynosure
how much is it in dollars? Tickets were 3.5€ ($4.76) that day so around $2.033.634 total probably. Edited July 3, 2014 by Cynosure
pepsa
3.5€ that is low, I don't get it if it's discount day in Belgium it's 7€ and other wise it's 10€. Why don't I live in french!
Ajbg
In Brazil we can pay less almost all year, one day a week.In France, this is an event - 4 days a year - la fete du cinema. There is one site about it.http://www.fncf.org/online/pid88/la-fete-du-cinema-2014.htmlThen, don't expect big numbers all days. La fete is over. elyccia
i think the discount is at the charge of theaters.... Not the distributors or the production of movies. The theater gave away is own pourcentage that day. Or else no movies will want to be released on fete du cinéma or be part of it. Beside theater makes money with pop corn , drinks . Etc that day and there is no discount for the 3d or imax 3d, i had to pay 5euros +3.5, for the imax 3d for example. Ajbg
Someone doesn't know boxofficemojo. Maleficent is doing well in France and Germany. Not great, but good. Top ten of the year (number 8 and climbing) in Germany already and top ten in a few days in France.http://www.boxofficemojo.com/intl/germany/yearly/http://www.boxofficemojo.com/intl/france/yearly/
Ajbg
I don't know, but I think that studios like La Fete, even with less money per ticket.Maleficent climbed 70% this weekend! and I think it was because of La Fete. They got more money, even with less per ticket.Ihttp://www.boxofficemojo.com/intl/france/?yr=2014&wk=26&p=.htm

BK007
Think you should look for a website called indeskino. That has admissions for a range of countries. Fault was also leading the German/Austrian Bo over Mal for 2-3 weeks. edit: In other words, BOM international is about as reliable as thenumbers DVD sales, which is to say, completely unreliable. Fullbuster
Planet of the Apes 2 will be impressive here, the first one grossed 30m here, compared to 10m in Germany or 15m in Brazil, and the WOM is very good. Hilderic
Think you should look for a website called indeskino.InsideKino also tells you that Maleficent is about to become in Germany the fifth best-attended American movie of the year so far (second of the summer so far), so I don't get how you can say that the Germans don't care about it. The argument is better for France, however.
