PierreHP
My body is ready to follow the Prince's run! I'm hoping it gets an American release! I read that it's budget was $80 million? That is insane for an animated feature made outside of the United States and even more appalling when you consider the amount of factors that can contribute to a weak performance! PS: I just ADORE Inside Out's french release title of Vice-Versa. <3 <3 <3 Of course it will since it even has an english trailer!
CelestialFairyIX
Of course it will since it even has an english trailer! ... That trailer made me cry. The animation looks stunning and by any chance do you know who's singing in the trailer? Her voice is so fluid and agile! Who's distributing the film and does it have a release date in the States yet? Definitely a front runner for Best Animated Feature just from the trailer. What is the critical reception in France thus far? Sorry for the many questions, the film is simply a masterpiece!

I don't live in France but based on what i've seen on Allocine and other sites its reception is mostly positive. Paramount Vantage will handle US distribution.A release date will come soon. Gabriel Sales
Hello everybody Here's the full top France of the week http://www.boxofficestory.com/paris-france-hebdo-2015-c25938746/31 Le Petit Prince is a sort of deception and yesterday he lost more than 70% from his last wednesday - a bad sign.... 70% of decline? What is your source? On the first day (Wednesday - 29/07) "The Little Prince" got 280,000 entries with countless premieres, tickets bought on Wednesday were 143,000. If you are calculating the decline over 280,000 entries you are wrong, the decline should be calculated on the 143,000. In fact, I think the biggest disappointment is the French public because the animation is very well evaluated by critics and is a strong candidate for Oscar nomination. Just ask the source, not doubted you. I just wanted to confirm what he already knew, those 72% decline is a mistake note that on 29/07 21,367 tickets were sold and on 30/07 only 12,520, ie preestréias are included on 29/07. Relying on me the day 30/08 the fall was 59%, which is still a bad result. Hug!
Cynosure
The one who approved such a budget for this movie is an idiot. As sad as it may be, animation throughout the world is still mostly seen as something to go see with your kids to shut them up with candy and popcorn for one afternoon (with Japan being the exception for some of its movies). And this crowd will not go see The Little Prince, it's far too philosophical and not child-pleasing enough.
Gabriel Sales
Unfortunate that are trying to decrease the film, I dont see a bad start in France, debuted at number one, dethroned Minions after 4 weeks, many have tried and failed. I remind you that this is an animation developed by a French team, so a huge financial effort was made to develop it. Not only American animations are good. Another thing the French should be proud to develop and present to the world this fantastic animation. I'm sure LITTLE PRINCE will be a success in my country, Brazil, the French are not appreciating this masterpiece, shame on them.
