La La Land opened to 605k a year ago. Maybe it'll have good legs. Jumanji does great - will end at least 12th for 2016 on par with GotG2. SW8 crossed 7M now, compared to other markets it did rather good here... InsideKino Edited January 30, 2018 by Aristis

I saw too that Les Mis did extremely bad in France (Into the Woods did bad in most countries), but still doing on par with Germany isn't really good for France... jerem4502
Les Tuche 3 OW 14,3 million dollars ! Very great ! Les Tuche 1 OW was 2,5 millions dollars. Les Tuche 2 OW was 8,4 millions dollars. Great increase !

It would have been the second biggest of 2017 too, behind SW8 (2,19M). It is much bigger than the biggest french films of 2017 (Raid Dingue 1,19M and Valerian 1,3M). Those ended with 4,5M and 4M admissions. But I don't know how frontloaded this may be...

el sid
Thought it would have been posted already... Black Panther had 178.202 admissions on Wednesday according to jpbox-office.com. Cine-directors.net predicts with this Opening Day 950k admissions over the first week and that it will become (narrowly) the new #1 in front of Les Tuche 3 which should hold well. BP was also yesterday the #1 in Paris-Periph. (and Les Tuche 3 only #6 but this is probably a weekend film, no?). I don't know, word of mouth is not even good (2.3/5 on allocine and 4.4/10 on senscritique) but people will still see the movie. La ch'tite famille is out Friday in the north and the rest of France next Wednesday, it will hurt Les Tuches as the audience must be the same. Patraon
21 to 27 February Good hold for Black Panther with the holidays, most successful French movie since 2014 for Les Tuches 3. Next week is going to be interesting too with the release of La ch'tite Famille, 2 million first week is possible. While the first one had more than 3,5M admissions on its OW, 2M seems good after that many years. But a great hold for BP too. It'll have passed Thor3 by now (2,46M). It's not far behind GOTG2 (290k/2,51M --> 3,23M final) or CA3 (350k/2,46M --> 2,98M final) after 3rd WE. So I think it should do 3,25M+.
