In what chart?

Year to date.

The chart screendaily released is the year to end-of-3rd-quarter chart. The date in the title is a bit difficult to read. The article in the link is about the 3rd quarter and how the movie business in the country (France) fared year to end of 3rd quarter.

They released the same kind of report also for Germany, that chart's date font is better to read.

Moana really does great here! In face of the $10M OW of RO it made $4M again! :o

France fell only 12% with a $4m third weekend for $16.4m to date, the UK added $1.8m (dropping 25%) for $8.7m after three weeks in play and China took $2.2m for $28.4m to date.

Nothing of extraordinary: Frozen at the same time (calendary and week in play) fell only 6% at 6M against The Hobbit that was doing stronger than R1 (13M ow / 8M 2nd wkd).

After a slightly mixed day, ROGUE ONE made a great weekend to accumulate 1,306,857 entries in 5 days on 910 screens. The film thus achieved the best start of the year ahead of DEADPOOL (1,284,278 admissions).

Obviously this start is far from the standards of the STAR WARS franchise since ROGUE ONE does less well than THE FANTAME THREAT (1 965 289 entries), THE FORCE AWAKENING (2 705 096 entries) or THE REVENGE OF THE SITH (2 878 764 entries).

For his director Gareth Edwards in any case it is better than his previous film GODZILLA which had reaped 624 489 entries for his first weekend.

ROGUE ONE is still perfectly positioned for school holidays and worn by an excellent word of mouth should easily exceed 5 million admissions.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has edged out cousin Star Wars: The Force Awakensin its first Tuesday hold overseas — percentage-wise. With $16M yesterday, Disney/Lucasfilm’s standalone franchise spinoff saw a 1.3% increase in offshore markets versus its Monday ticket sales tally. Last year, on TFA’s first Tuesday, that film dipped by 1% from the Monday.

...

The UK, which has seen a big exchange rate swing since last year, continues to lead offshore play and rose to $28.2M after a $3.5M Tuesday (up from Monday’s $3.1M). Germany was also up over the two-day period ($1.4M v $1.2M) with a cume of $15M. Australia too rose ($1.5M v $1.3M) for a total at $13.7M.

France had the 2nd best day of all offshore markets with $2M (another jump from Monday) and is tied with Australia at $13.7M. Japan is the No. 5 market at $9.8M to date.

Despite very mixed reviews, the adaptation of the video game ASSASSIN'S CREED made an excellent start with 3 498 entries Paris 14H on 22 copies. This is the 10th start of the year behind KUNG FU PANDA 3.
ASSASSIN'S CREED is therefore perfectly positioned to take advantage of the school holidays and should easily exceed the one million entries at the end of its career.
In the register of the adaptation of video games, this is the 2nd start behind the first part of TOMB RAIDER.
Behind is the very good start of PATERSON with 1,178 entries on 15 copies while the comedy A FOND starts slowly with 854 entries on 16 copies. For his director, it is a little less well than the 1,136 entries of the first BABYSITTING.
