Fullbuster
Great news for the French BO : 213 million admissions in 2016, the second best year after 2011 (217m).

Zamor
How in the hell France keeps selling the double of tickets per year than us (2015, 107M adm) with pretty much the same population and the same numbers of screen? Impressive, compliments. It means you have a very "educated" audience. We had these numbers in the 80s, when television was not so stronger like now. But maybe France is normal and we are the weak ones.
Cynosure
There's a strong cinema culture in France and the industry has promoted cheaper tickets at certain periods (Printemps du Cinéma, etc.) and for those who go to the movies regularly. My parents for example go see a lot of movies, between 30 and 40 a year, and pay something like 4-5€ on average thanks to all these promos.

They do these things also here, and during these promotions a lot of people go to the cinema, but then it get normal again. The thing that surprises me the most is that Italy should have a very strong cinema culture like France because the two countries are very similar. You had Méliès, the Lumières etc. ans it's like you've created cinema like we know it today, while we ruled cinema in Europe from the 50s to the 80s, and back then people here used to go a lot to the cinema (The Godfather has something like 20M+ adm here). As for the prices, if a family here goes to the cinema can also spend €40. Anyway, compliments again!
