Sam
Great numbers! But it’s a number that makes more sense factoring in presales and Memorial Day boost. @Fish&chips good call! Edited June 6, 2018 by Sam 2

titanic2187
that opening could put SK running neck to neck with UK as the top OS grosser(of course, outside of china) , yet again, after IW and DP2
Sam
$25-30M for 5-day opening is my guess. Towards higher end I think

Fish&chips
For those wondering, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom was assigned 1,869,163 seats yesterday which is 64.8% of total available seats, and it managed a seat saturation of 63.3%. Infinity War on it's first saturday (biggest single day) was assigned 2,227,114 seats which was 82.6% of total available seats and managed a seat saturation of 59.9%.
Fish&chips
CGV does a pretty nice breakdown analysis for films and since it's the largest movie chain, they have a lot of people rating the film. Here's the breakdown for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom And one for Avengers: Infinity War Edited June 7, 2018 by Fish&chips
Fish&chips
As of 6:30PM local time, CGV admissions figure for Fallen Kingdom stands at 83,025. They seem to update this hourly.

Was there one of these for Jurassic World or is that too far back? Also what did you think of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom? (IIRC you've seen it now?) Fish&chips
Yeah here's the one for <Jurassic World> Different movies skew in different directions. You'll find most hollywood blockbusters skew towards Visuals, especially since that's the one area where local movies lag significantly. So just to illustrate, here's one 10M admission film <Veteran> The two male leads in this film put in an amazing acting performance, which elevated an otherwise generic crime film genre into extremely enjoyable levels. Then you'll get musical films with more emphasis on OST such as <Frozen> And films where the directing stands out such as <Inception> As for Fallen Kingdom, I thought it was pretty good on par with the first for me though I think they could have come up with a better plot line than what we got. Thank you for that. So it seems, for the moment, FK is received on par if not slightly better than JW1. I love the fact that Veteran and Frozen skew majorly towards one or two points. Then you get inception that just destroyed all areas
Fish&chips
CGV admissions update (21:20PM) Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom - 105,500
Stewart
6 minutes ago, Fish&chips said: CGV admissions update (21:20PM) Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom - 105,500 So roughly calculating... CGV had 1858 screens showing JW2 out of a total 5237 for opening day, this correlates to 35% of all screens. Similarly it had 42% of all theatres showing JW2 and 40% of all showings. Extrapolating upwards gives JW2 a range of 250k to 300k for its second day, a drop of 75 to 79%, which seems in line with the inflation of Memorial day that The Mummy had. I'd say that's a fantastic result if it's true.
