ZeeSoh
3rd Day (Friday) Captain Marvel - 413,068 (+32.%) Ant-Man 2 - 403, 553 (+34.67%) Thor Ragnarok - 316,449 (+45.67%) Venom - 245,748 (+35.32%) Fantastic Beasts 2 - 231,881 (+4.6%) Suicide Squad - 219,875 (-13.83%) Justice League - 183,255 (+11.65%) <----deflated od, meaning inflated Thu, meaning deflated fri Aquaman - 181,806 (+37%) Wonder Woman - 154,172 (+31.87%) Shazam - 70,604 (+26.51%) Not that bad but still not good enough either. Most of the other movies increased in the 30's. Still better than FB2 which had atrocious legs. Btw I have not included movies like Bvs, MoS, Ant Man 1, etc in comparison because they had 4 day OW versus the 5 day OW for Shazam and other movies above. This would mean Friday would have been the 2nd day for these movies and would not have been a fair comparison. The very best case scenario over the weekend will see Shazam open around 500-525k which would be on par with The Incredible Hulk (4 day OW) with only Captain America 1 being lower overall (Amongst MCU+DCEU). Average DCEU legs will take it to just above 1 million total admissions then. Edited April 5, 2019 by ZeeSoh 1

Depending on how it performs tomorrow, it could break the 500k mark. PS: Suicide Squad was crazy frontloaded over the weekend. With the toxic word of mouth that Shazam seems to have in Korea it seems odd that it would have any bump there at all.

I guess with a gross so low it's not exactly hard to jump high. Another reason could be that it is doing well on weekends as families go out and see it due to the fact that it is a more light hearted family oriented movie rather than a normal SH movie. I don't think it is because WoM has suddenly turned very positive. Ratings on both Cgv and Naver has in fact dropped somewhat from opening day. Btw I wouldn't say WoM was ever toxic to begin with. It was not good but definitely not toxic

It was not good but definitely not toxic Yeah my guess would be cause familie audience, being more kid centric. I would definity also add on the time of the year, it's not summer so bigger jumps from weekdays. Because a big sat jump doesn't mean good legs, atlest it didn't for Captain marvel. (or JW2). But most marvel movie have 'bad' legs now a days but massive OW's.
imbruglia
it's not huge jump at all. you have to look actual numbers too.. because it's easy for movie with small friday number to have better % on sat. 70,675's 100% is 141k, 150% is 176k, 200% is 212k. even it's 300%(=x4) would be lowest on that list. and the biggest problem is not wom or bad review. it doesn't really that much problem for big movie in first week with such huge showing/screens. people simply don't care for this move. there was no talk or interest to see this, zero hype/buzz. this is biggest issue for this movie. ZeeSoh
Shazam Sunday - 124,483 admissions (-22.05%) OW for some SH movies 3 day OW (FSS) Full OW Captain Marvel 2,260,834 3,034,968 (5 day) Ant Man 2 1,919,447 2,626,042 (5 day) Suicide Squad 761,975 1,416,968 (5 day) Batman v Superman 1,148,014 1,386,658 (4 day) Aquaman 966,240 1,250,060 (5 day) Man of Steel 1,025,754 1,205,635 (4 day) Wonder Woman 831,222 1,158,394 (5 day) Justice League 822,133 1,142,912 (5 day) The Incredible Hulk 454,061 527,328 (4 day) Shazam 354,867 500,670 (5 day) Captain America 1 259,474 322,828 (4 day) The Incredible Hulk and Captain America 1 are the lowest 2 opening MCU movie in SK. Their legs were not good either. So it is likely that Shazam will overtake both of their final gross.
