Unlikely imo, too much competition both current and upcoming. 

 

It can get to 14 million admissions though if it manages 50% or so drops from here on. It made 258k admissions in the last week and needs only 210k more to get to 14m. Can get there even with more than 50% drops.

koea is 12PM, so I guess those reactions are mostly from fans and IMAX viewers.

I wonder how it will goes with more avg audience review added.

Parasite passed 500k presale, I don't know when it last time we saw big presale for local movie..

 

I just saw Godzilla, it was fun but critics are right, the story overall is weak and unnecessary. 

I think I prefer 2014 one. yeah sure.

godzilla couldn't get much culture day buff. only sold 13.6% tickets. 

this looks like won't pass even 500k because of competition. such a shame.

theaters will sure drop the screens a lot on weekend..

Even with the boost of Culture Day, GKoM OD barely beat G 2014

Godzilla 2 OD - 88,610 admissions

 

Very small OD, but then again 2014 Godzilla did not do much in SK so expectations for this was low anyways. Plus it has a lot of competition. 

 

The OD is similar to Shazam which opened to 87k and went on to do 500k OW and 657k total (horrible legs) (approx 4.8m USD total). 

 

Godzilla Naver ratings - 8.56 (Netizen)/ 7.57 (Audience) 

 

Ratings are OK, better than Shazam but not really that great. 

 

While Godzilla had a slightly better OD than Shazam on fewer screens and also has better ratings, it will face far more competition than Shazam. So I dont know how much better its legs will be. 1m admissions is out of the window. A total closer to the 2014 one or lower seems likely

aladdin is in its seonc week. so that's fine.

the one that got affected by parasite is godzilla, it will have less screen than aladdin. no wom at all.

aladdin currently have strong wom and being family fun light move will help it.
