Well it is a sequel so its only natural that it is going to be frontloaded. It also had higher PS than the first one again indicating more rush plus from what I heard it is heavy in fan service which again would prompt the fans to rush to see it. 

 

But FB2 had more competition than FB1 did. It's screen share is also 38.4% compared to the 60% that FB1 had. However FB2 has more screens at 1600 whereas FB1 only had 1260 screens on opening. FB2's rating in South Korea is also not great and lower than that of FB1.

 

It's still early to tell but I think it have fewer admissions in SK than the first one. As for other countries, its too early to tell. I think its gonna open higher than the first in most countries but will have lower legs.

Fantastic Beasts 2 continues falling behind. Its already almost 100k admissions and about $600k USD behind after just 3 days.

Bohemian Rhapsody is doing very well on the other hand. 

 

Its up almost 29% from yesterday and 9.3% from last week!

 

It is also closing up on Fantastic Beasts. Only 60k admissions separate them today whereas on FB2’s opening day the difference between them was almost 150k. Bohemian Rhapsody has pulled back 100k admissions in just 3 days. Its screen count has also gone up whereas FB2’s has gone down. Its likely it will surpass FB2 in a few days.

Bohemian Rhapsody overtakes Fantastic Beasts despite opening earlier

 

BR - 135,600 (-57.6%)(+23.76% from last Monday) (3,273,408 total admissions)

FB2 - 88,527 (-76.3%) (1,608,317 total admissions)

FB1 - 158,553 (-70.5%)(2,094,961 total admissions)

 

FB2 has already fallen behind FB1 by about half a million admissions after just 6 days. In the end it will likely fall more than a million admissions behind FB1 and fail to reach the 4 million admissions mark. It may even fall behind total admissions for GoF and OoTP. 

 

In fact with even same legs as FB1 going forward from now there is a chance FB1 misses out on 3 million admissions which would make this only the 3rd Wizarding World movie to do so.

Big drop for Fantastic Beast 2 again and a huge drop from last week as well. Its almost dropped 700k admissions already from the first one after just 9 days. It is likely it will fall more than 35% from the first ones admission which would be a bigger drop than in China and could be Fantastic Beasts 2 biggest drop in any market. 

 

It may not even reach 3 million admissions whereas the first one reached 4.7m admissions

Holy crap! BR will most likely outgross MI-Fallout by the end of its run!😲

 

Judging from WOM, it was more than expected for FB2 to drop hard after its opening weekend!

Bohemian Rhapsody is doing amazing here. It is on track for 6m admissions or so at this point and will likely overtake Jurassic World 2 for the 3rd spot in highest grossing Hollywood movie this year in SK. It could even overtake MI6 for the second spot if it continues its amazing holds

 

Fantastic Beasts 2 on the other hand continues to tumble. It is likely at this point to not even make it to 3m total admissions. It possibly could be the 2nd or 3rd least attended Wizarding World movie in SK.
