lab276
Looks like The Thieves won't be beating Avatar or The Host. But still, it's an impressive run.Lots of "The" films in Korea, just on that list, you have The Traffickers, The Neighbours and The Thieves. Not to mention The Host. Rudolf
Koreans also like period movies from other countries too. Sherlock Holmes, Pirates, Troy, 300, Robin Hood and Golden Compass were all successes.

ecstasy
$6 millionNot bad. But it had a big drop so I guess it won't be much more. Seems to do okay in Asian countries. Hopefully it takes off in China and Japan.

ecstasy
less so DOMAmericans are not so into Period Drama 3 Musketeers made more in Japan than DOM (not that it was a good movie)So true. But 300 was really popular and so was Gladiator. Sherlock Holmes made good money and I didn't care for it that much.I love period dramas by they way. But wasn't 3 Musketeers a little out there? I think if it didn't stray so far away from the stories it would have done better. JMO. Edited September 17, 2012 by ECSTASY

StephenN18
Olive, do you know how much Resident Evil has grossed so far in South Korea? I'm really surprised that it hasn't made anything like the last one when every other country in Asia opened higher than the last.
