If it wasn't in competition with frozen this would have easily gotten 10m+ admissions. The reverse is also true I think. Miss granny and frozen both prevented each other from reaching their full potential. For 2014 January and February, the attendance was similar as to 2013 while gross increased slightly compared to the same period last year. 2014 should continue the upward trend and increase from 2013. Except for odd years, Korean movies tend to have more admissions and gross slightly more than foreign films which shows that local films are generally more popular in South Korea.
