dropsicaldackel
Yeah what Tower says seems to be the case. Usually Korea is among the first countries where Hollywood blockbusters are released but the fact that they delayed a Marvel product, seems to indicate that they're unsure of it's chances in the current month. I think it's the correct decision too. Yeah, GOTG's poor run plus they wanna avoid the late-July/August local movie marathon. MI5 is the only major foreign release out at that time, and that has a proven track record. We saw the same thing with ELYSIUM in 2013, delayed a month or so to avoid SNOWPIERCER.

Rsyu
Amazing Saturday increase for Inside Out and Jurassic world. The former looks like it has a chance of topping TS3 to become Pixar's most successful film in Korea. Still a way to go of course but all signs indicate that it will have good legs. The holds for NLL (Northern Limit Line) have been great all week but the saturday hold is the icing, a great result for the local film industry too that was a long time in coming. Decent increase for Terminator Genisys which is definitely playing stronger over the weekends. 3 million admissions looks attainable but 4 million looks out of reach. Decent enough start to the franchise I guess. The Piper looks like it's going to bomb. Dropping on Friday over Thursday was the first indicator and that saturday increase is mediocre at best. Ratings are pretty low on Naver too and could slip into the 6s before too long. And finally, another insane Saturday increase for Jurassic World, the ultimate weekend film not as crazy a run as in some other countries but nonetheless, I think it's safe to say that it still exceeded pre-release expectations in Korea. A multi of just X3 from that would make it the most attended Pixar film in South Korea. There's a very good chance of it happening in my opinion.
Rsyu
CJ CGV, the largest multiplex in Korea, reached a record milestone of 800 million accumulative admissions. Korea has a population of just 50 million so it means that the average Korean has visited the CGV multiplex approximately 16 times in all. Pretty impressive sum it has to be said. MrHardapple
3 million admission for TG seems to be a lock. How high can it go? With $20 million after this weekend, South Korea seems to be the biggest market outside the US so far for Terminator Genisys.
