Rsyu
Sorry for my absence, I've been away on vacation so I couldn't update the box office. Thanks to those who kept the thread going! Unfortunately I spent the last 1-2 hrs writing up missing materials but I've lost it all due to a computer shutdown it's too much work to do again tonight but I'll get around to it tomorrow.
Rsyu
Doesnt that put MI5 in the top 10-15 biggest openings of all time in Korea? In admissions it ranks somewhere between 10-15. Much lower in gross due to the unfavorable exchange rates.

Rsyu
Rysu, how are Minions drops this week? Good, bad or great? Good drops so far, pretty solid hold from it's OD. But with veteran and Detective Conan set to provide additional competition, holds could turn brutal. WOW! MI5 is already a HUGE hit in SK! There's a fairly good chance it will record a series high. The Tom Cruise brand continues to grow in Korea

Previously, Pixar films had a very lousy track record and there was nothing to indicate that Inside Out would have been any different in which case, getting the most out of summer weekdays when children are resting from school would have been the ideal strategy.

Yeah, but this competition is just huge, it's just insane If it was released quitely like Interstellar it could have done much more and the legs would have been insane. But you are right, their was no indication what so ever that it would break out. And btw I am hopping for some crazy late leggs for assasinaton, hope it can clear the way to 12-13M admission. I wouldn't be surprised if it surpassed MI5 again soon. http://variety.com/2015/film/asia/warner-bros-kim-jee-woon-secret-agent-1201555268/ Very big fan of Kim Jee-woon's work in The good, the bad and the ugly and apparently Song Kang-ho will take the lead role which is great Very interested in the direction this film will take. Rsyu
Hows the WOM better than GP or well enough to gross $50m I'd say the two films has similar WoM but Rogue nation had the bigger opening. Going forward, competition seems to be heavier for rogue nation though and it is at a disadvantage in terms of the exchange rate so I wouldn't lock $50 million just yet, but I think there's a good chance!
