Yeah, I was kind of lumping the weekend numbers with monday's declines...it's all been pretty sudden. It's weird how it just collapsed considering how big it opened and the high ratings on naver. Word of mouth is pretty solid too judging from the reactions of people around me. Still, it's already a huge increase over the winter soldier already I guess we should be grateful for that.

Sing street is already 6th in presales with 9 days to go. It's from the same director as Begin again which was a phenomenal hit in Korea. With a similar theme of music and romance to woo audiences, we might have another surprise hit on our hands.

even though the Wailing, Na Hong-Jin's new critics' favorite is #1 at the presales, seems its pre-screenings got the audience left super polarized. It is such an emotionally draining, feel-bad movie and a head scratcher despite still being a well-made, powerful film that it won't be too much of a box office draw as it was first expected to be.

and then the week after from that we have Apocalypse which has bad reviews and the bad WOM is already spread on the internet.

so, all above being said, CW still does have a little hope left..?

Well damn. Sounds like my kind of movie. I'm intrigued.

you can also use a search section at the top right on the kobis website to find previous data since circa 2004. (e.g. type "Kung Fu Panda")

One more question: how do we get the whole box office run of a movie?

When I click on the movie title in kobis, it gives a movie sheet with the box office of the first 10 days and the last 10 days.

Sorry, not sure whether I was looking in the right place.

you see a small grey button saying "엑셀" above the chart and if you click on it you get the Excel sheet of a whole run. Yup, 엑셀 means Excel ;)
