Also you have the issue that there's only so many seats people can book. At this moment I expect it'll finish with 0.95 - 1.05m presales. With a 20% chance it stagnates at the end and doesn't pass ultron presales I’m expect huge jump on Monday .

It's the only major market where they seem to be rejected. Having most of them make only around $10 million or so is disappointing considering the box office ceiling in the market is so much higher (above $100 million or even $200 million in rare instances). I can understand Japan, they have animes and videogames, they have their own heroes who are closer to the Japanese culture. Many people in the rest of the world are impressed by comicbook movies in terms of visuals, fights..etc..but when you're used to anime fights and charismatic/powerful villains like Japan it's a bit harder to be impressed.

Phenomenal progress in the evening as well as passing CW final total. Also, on 2,062 screens, it will be shown on 71% of the screens in the country! Most screens ever for a film Also there's about 490-500 theaters in the country, and AIW is currently in 421 of them. Given some are probably small arthouse theatres, that's a fantastic number! As @pepsa said, evening run rate was brilliant, running at 9k per hour most the time, much greater than we've seen in the past few days. Unless something collapses due to upfront demand (entirely possible), it should breach 1M in PS. Also, since we have a Wed-Sun, the 3-day won't be over $30m. However the 5-day should be over $30m.
