Rsyu
Is $150M possible? It isn't facing massive competition in the next few weeks.I don't think so, holidays are drawing to an end and presales have slowed down visibly.
keysersoze123
Based on presales, it looks like monday wont even gross 100K. Is that right or walk-ins will be better.

You mean 100K in admissions right? I'd be really surprised if it fell below 100K. How did you come to that conclusion? Any chance Pirates may go ahead of Roaring next weekend? Depends which movie is hit harder this week I guess. As it is roaring currents is ahead in presales and has shown better walk up sales too until now so unless that changes before the weekend I think the chances are slim. Rsyu
Could you please recommend good Korean movies? I have seen THE HOST, SECRETLY GREATLY, THE MAN FROM NOWHERE, THE THIEVES and HAEUNDAE. Thanks. My personal favourites are Masquerade: A period film about a King who uses a double during a time of crisis. It stars Lee Byung-Hun (from GI: joe and the upcoming Terminator film) as the King and Ryu Seung-Ryong (From miracle in cell no.7 & Roaring Currents). An appropriate blend of comedy and political drama. Taegukgi: Brotherhood of war: A war film that portrays the fighting between North and South Korea that started in the year 1952. It follows the story of two brothers who are split by the war and eventually come to face each other on different sides of the battle. It stars Won-bin (from man from nowhere) and Jang Dong-gun. The Chaser: A Crime-Action thriller flick that is based on a true story of a serial killer and how an ex-police officer tracks and chases him. Stars Ha jung-woo (From Kundo and berlin) as the serial Killer Architecture 101: I recommend this if you are a fan of "meeting your first love after many years" type of romance films. It stars Kpop idol star Suji as the love interest. Oldboy: Stars Choi min-sik from Swiri, Lucy, Roaring Currents etc etc. Revenge film with a twist at the end. Joint Security Area: Stars Lee byung-hun and Song Kang-ho (from the host). It is about an investigation into a fatal shooting accident that occurs within the DMZ (demilitarized zone) separating North and South Korea. It's the film that best represents the tragedy of our divided nation in my opinion. Miracle in cell no.7: Ryu Seung-ryong delivers an amazing performance as a mentally handicapped person who goes to prison for a crime he didn't commit and is separated from his daughter because of it. He is tried for the death penalty. An emotional film that could bring you to tears before the end. generally speaking films that have high admissions are above average in quality at least and most are pretty good. You can find a list by genre on pg 152 for other films. Edited August 20, 2014 by Rsyu

A millionare's first love was brilliant. I notice though a lot of the films you like seem to be ones with a sad theme? I confess I haven't watched My sassy girl yet, it doesn't seem like my type of film but seeing you speak positive about it makes me want to see it
