Impact's Year 3 Reviews! (Best and worse of the year on page 9)

Recommended Posts

You know Blue Heart was not that bad, it was just kind of odd being animated was the thing. I still gave it a positive review.

It just felt so disjointed. It got a 5/10 from me, so it really isn't rotten or anything.

I'm aware. I really do wonder what Ry would think of the film-but the oddity of the film is completely on purpose. ;)

June 14-16:

Voyage to Atlantis

"Loved this adventure film"

This is the 2nd best sci fi of the year so far. Yes it is only June I know, but considering the amount of amazing sci fi's we have had so far this should tell you something. The cast was amazing, Will Smith did a great job. The visuals were something else also. Sets were great.

4.5 stars.

Go see: If you want to see a great adventure film.

Don't see: If you rather watch a film about paint drying.

Kill That Director!

"I laughed so hard during this"

I laughed so hard during this movie. The premise was funny enough and the film just caused me to burst out laughing at times. Both actors you can tell had a fun time making this.

4.5 stars.

Go see: If you want a laugh out loud comedy.

Don't see: If your under 17 ;)

So sorry Blank...same thing happened with some other users in there early years....but this has the worse casting...

June 21-23:

Legend of the Red Dragon

"Decent acting and visuals"

This film had some pretty neat visuals. The acting was not that bad either. But overall it was forgettable. But still decent.

3 stars.

Go see: If you want a fun fantasy

Don't see: If you hate dragons.

Consciousness Ship

"Overlong, boring and one of the worse casting ever"

This film was too long to start with. It was also boring. The casting was awful. Stienfeld who was fantastic in True Grit plays a clone to someone in her 20s...the heck? She is only 15. At least she was not found by Disney or Nic first as we would never get to see her acting talents. (We may never know who might of been talented) This film also felt like this one film called "Clonus Horror" at times. The movie itself was just not that good. And it was way too long. I was waiting for something to happen.

1 star.

Go see: If you want a long sci fi.

Don't see: if you want something exciting.

I have never ripped a film like that before...I feel so bad. Your length of the plot was okay, it was just not that good overall. I'm so sorry...

You actually have a great point about the casting. I never actually noticed that. ... I feel stupid now. XD

It's fine. I just wanted to try a hard sci-fi film, and if I do a sequel as hinted at, I'll try to address your concerns in it. You have good reasons. :)...Granted, I'm going to give it a better review myself. :P

Misread that, still it was off on casting. Not as bad though when someone put Russel Crowe as Steve Carrell's dad...or someone put a 65 year old actress as Robin Williams mom (gee she was what? 5???) and there was a odd casting with Julia Roberts also....

And June comes to a close! Hey it just did in real life :P

June 28-30:

Bobby

"Was hoping for something better"

While the film was enjoyable, I think this would of worked better live action. Though it would of came across as an annoying kids film then. The voice work as not that bad. But it was missing something.

3.5 stars.

Go see: If you want a diffrent family animated film.

Don't see: If you want something better.

Nadia: A Perfect 10

"Great acting and sets"

This film had some fantastic acting and some great sets. The directing was good as well. The story was not that bad either. It was a really good feel good film.

4.5 stars.

Go see: If you want the feel good film of the Summer.

Don't see: If you were rooting for the other side. ;)

I'm disappointed none of my movies have done well, but all of your reviews have been pretty interesting to read. I like the See/Don't See at the end of the reviews; they're pretty neat.

So what do people think so far?

I agree with Blank like the See/Don't see. they're often hilarious. And, um, I thought Coming Storm would do a little better, but the rest of mine have been pretty fair.
