grey ghost
Why does boxoffice.com have th tasm budget as 307 million That is including marketing. So ASM needs around 620 m WW to break even.It should beat that by over 125 m.

lilmac
The debate over #1 R rated comedy of the year is settled. Don't think Watch will match Ted's numbers. Ted = 2nd most surprising boxoffice story of the summer so far.

blackspider
The Hangover beat Ted's Monday by 1m and will probabaly continue to beat it in the dailies from this point. It all depends on its hold this weekend but I might have jumped the gun on the 250m aspirations. Still should be good for 225m+. Amazing run regardless. Squaremaster316
Regarding Tuesday, any guesses as to whether TASM will show an increase or decrease? Usually newer releases have a smaller Tues after the first Mon, but this film didn't have a typical opening. BenedictL11
It dropped 61%. Bad WOM and bad legs.... Yeah right, Moonrise Kingdom's Monday drop wasn't even severe as To Rome With Love (67%). Bad WOM and bad legs for MK? Pfffft, that's a lie. Critics and audiences do not like Midnight in Paris-wannabe as much as Wes Anderson's recent offering. blackspider
For an R rated film like Savages to drop 61% on its first Monday is not a good sign. This was a pretty crappy Monday in general. Wonder if Tuesday will offset this.

Thrylos 7
Yeah... they are gonna scrap all the plans for the sequels now... because the Spiderman franchise is doomed. The spider man franchise is not doomed , but this form of it might actually be . Sony managed to fuck up the only good thing they had left (not just in their movie department) . I bet that a Raimi Spider man 4 , with free reigns to Raimi unlike 3, would have done much better than this debacle of a reboot .
