So will Carnival even make it to week 2? Will it be one of those films that loses theaters on week 2? Just how bad will its IM be?I remember one time there was some film about a haunted hotel and then I put on the actuals something like: "On its 2nd week 65% of the guests checked out of the hotel"

Is it even possible to lose theaters on week 2? Don't most movies have to stay for 2 weeks?

I think there are enough films its just that they are scheduled really unbalanced so some months are really strong and some are really weak

ideally there should be about 140-50 films a year plus an assorted ~30 arthouse releases for Oscar season to actually mimic a year in film. Our target should be about half that, and I don't think we're even getting that much.

Theaters are usually forced to keep a film for two weeks. My manager was frustrated with this at AMC once.. .he put the movie SUpercross (2005) in one small theater one time a night in its second week

but now everybody should do it

I did a few, but honestly inspiration for even fillers is hard to come by. I'll have more time next year though, I have half my main line-up completed already.
