Moviedweeb
Internationally, Taken 2 should outgross the entire WW gross of the first film which is a very nice accomplishment.

The Toymaker
Taken 2 earned $55.2 million from 50 territories this weekend. It topped the U.K. box office with $11.9 million (including previews), which is more than the original earned in its entire run. It was also incredibly strong in France ($8.8 million) and Australia ($8.1 million), though it was less impressive in Mexico ($2.5 million), Russia (roughly $1.9 million), Spain ($1.2 million), China ($1.1 million) and Brazil ($1.03 million). Through two weekends in South Korea, Taken 2 is already the highest-grossing 20th Century Fox movie of the year with $13.8 million. http://www.boxofficemojo.com/news/?id=3542&p=.htm Oh come on, it was only open for 1 day. The Toymaker
I doubt it underperforms in the Middle East. Those guys love their action movies. I was watching a documentary about the movie world in Iraq or Iran or Afghanistan (like it matters, they're all the Middle East) and this one producer guy was making underground action movies (where he acts, produces, edits, directs, does stunts, the lot) to fulfil demand. The government had banned all violence in films, but they people go to the street and buy this guys' DVDs. He's a star now. So they love action. But just can't legally obtain it.
