I see over $60m in the UK, It'll be interesting to see if it can retain its audience in Japan. The first one was a monster over there with $74m. 

 

I'd say about 475m for this OS.

This will do well in English speaking regions. But flop otherwise. It is a college flick.

It doesn't at all. It's an animated film set in college times. Doesn't mean kids aren't gonna be interested. Infact, they probably don't give a damn.

I see, so your theory on animated films set in college not doing well OS is based on 0 films actually fitting this criteria. I can't think of any recent film taking place in college that got a serious OS release other than The Social Network (which did OK). But I don't think there is much difference between college or high school in this case, and there have been big films taking place in school.

When you set you movie in college, you automatically narrow your target audience to college students / young adults.

 

 

Not to mention it is an animated college movie.

This is an animated film. Children don't give a flying fuck if it's set in college. They care about it being all colourful, and involving the characters they love (sully, mike wazowski etc)

I have no idea, but since Fast 6 on May 23 there have been some gigantic weekends. The only movie that flopped was Star Trek, that decreased from the 2009 movie.
