efialtes76 Posted September 22, 2013 Share Posted September 22, 2013 The Smurfs 2 grossed $14.1m through Sony Pictures Releasing International (SPRI) from 9,400 screens in 71 markets as the running total climbed to $238.4m. The film ranked as the top international release of the weekend at time of writing with Warner Bros still to report. There were four debuts including a $2.8m number two launch in Italy on 620 screens and number one launches in South Africa on $490,000 from 123 and New Zealand on $280,000 from 150. China delivered the biggest haul on $5.3m from 4,216 for $18.9m after two weekends and an undetermined rank heading into the October holidays. Quite good for this time of the year and better than previous wkn. But there are three non-Englisg title in top 12. It is Hollywood movies that are weak now.
