Gokai Red
Japan usually does about the same as SK, correct? I recall someone saying that. That gives me high hopes for Japan.
Rsyu
Japan usually does about the same as SK, correct? I recall someone saying that. That gives me high hopes for Japan.Depends on the movie but Japan usually outgrosses Sk most of the time, especially for animated films. Just for frozen sk outperformed like crazy(11th in all time attendance and 7th all time gross) so idk if japan will go over it. I certainly hope so! Hernan Gonzalez
Screendaily.com "Frozen is the clear favourite to win the best animation Oscar and it will be interesting to see how much more it can produce, having already earned a whopping $602m OS through Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures International. Studio executives will at least hope for enough in the coming week to propel the global haul past $1bn."

Rsyu
SK frozen total admission #: 10.04m Total gross: $75.36m Congratulations to frozen for officially reaching 10m attendance in Korea. The 10m admission is widely recognized as a landmark number in SK box office for “mega-blockbuster” films and to date, only 11 films have achieved this feat. Also, in a market where Korean films traditionally perform much better, Frozen is only the second ever foreign movie, after Avatar, to have reached 10m attendance. Frozen is also the first ever animated film to reach 10m, blowing the previous #1 animated film kung-fu panda 2’s record (5.06m attendance) out of orbit. In a country where animated films are extremely unpopular even kung-fu panda’s record was considered to be a huge hit with most popular animations only managing around 3m at best. Disney’s previous global hits Tangled and WiR were labeled as a “kids movie” and only managed 1m and 0.9m attendance respectively which makes frozen epic box office run all the more surprising. For the foreseeable future I don’t think any animated movie will come close to matching frozen’s box office numbers (unless Disney makes frozen 2!!!) Frozen sing along version is coming out on march 6th so expect frozen’s legs in SK to carry on for a while longer especially if Disney does a clean sweep at Oscars!!

BadAtGender
It's also 25th all time in OS gross, now. It needs 105 million more to get into the top 10. Really hoping Japan is a hit.
